Friends, As someone who
has had the pleasure to teach courses on philanthropy in the Honors
College for a number of years, I am excited to announce an amazing new
spring course focused on global social change.
See all the cool details below. Best, Prof. Bob Grimm, Honors College
Faculty Fellow
Tired
of the same old lectures and homework? How would you like to be a part
of a course that is making the world a better place? Well, this Spring,
you can!
This is no ordinary class, this is an experience!
PUAF 388G Seminar on Global
Perspectives on Leading and Investing in Social Change will be offered
this spring on Thursdays from 11:00am to 1:30pm. In addition to learning
about global
social change in a fun and engaging way, you will also have the chance to make a
real impact.
How do you tackle the world’s most pressing issues?
From
Poverty, climate change, gender equity, human trafficking, refugee and
humanitarian emergencies, and public health crises, you will learn how
nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and philanthropy are working
across borders and in the most desperate circumstances to alleviate
suffering and solve problems.
By the end of this class you will be able to create a better world by
ACTUALLY investing thousands of dollars in a real nonprofit
organization!! What other class gives you the power to MAKE a change in
the world?
This course also covers multiple general education requirements and is taught by a professor with an exemplary teaching record so the only thing left
for you to do is register for PUAF 388G and begin the class experience
this spring.
