UMD Winter (CHIN269 or HONR258M): Taiwan: Exploring a Different China

Taiwan is a dynamic country known for its towering mountains, beautiful coastlines, and bustling city life. Taiwan also has many major attractions such as historical temples & museums, beautiful national parks, and the famous Taiwanese Night Market. During the program, participants will be immersed in Taiwan's vibrant culture through planned excursions throughout the country and individual exploration. Participants will be staying in downtown Taipei, Taiwan's capital city, where they will take an intensive Chinese language course and culture classes to build conversational skills and to learn more about Taiwanese culture.
