Mercy College, located in the metropolitan New York area, is a private, non-profit, non-denominational institution, accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. PACT
Mentor Fellows empower students to succeed academically, personally,
and professionally, while driving the national college completion
agenda. Mentors provide one-on-one academic advisement
to each student; assist in pre-enrollment and orientation activities;
and counsel students and families on student aid eligibility. Unique to
higher education, the Mercy College PACT program has received national
recognition as a model program for student
success. In 2012, the PACT program leadership was 1 of 10 national
recipients of the 2012 Outstanding First-Year Student Advocate Award by
the National Resource Center for the First –Year Experience and Students
in Transition.
This position takes passion as well as a healthy helping of perseverance, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
We’re
looking for high-achieving student leaders with a track record of
success from a variety of majors, extracurricular organizations, and
backgrounds to serve as our newest PACT Mentors.
