“Can America Mediate Arab-Israeli Peace?”

On Wednesday, March 6, the University of Maryland's Sadat Chair for Peace and Development will assemble a distinguished panel of scholars, diplomats and journalists for the annual Sadat Forum.  This year’s topic is “Can America Mediate Arab-Israeli Peace?” and will feature the following participants:

·         Daniel Kurtzer: S. Daniel Abraham Professor in Middle Eastern Policy Studies, Princeton University; Former United States Ambassador to Israel and to Egypt

·         Shibley Telhami: Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development, University of Maryland; Non-Resident Senior Fellow, Saban Center for Middle East Policy, Brookings

·         Margaret Warner: Senior Correspondent, PBS NewsHour

·         Tamara Cofman Wittes: Director, Saban Center for Middle East Policy, Brookings; Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State

This event will take place in the Kay Theatre, Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, beginning at 3:30 PM.
