MEDLIFE GBM - Discussion Topic: Global Water Resources and Health

Date/Location: WEDNESDAY 3/13, 8PM in Hornbake Library Non-Print Media Room J (Ground Floor)

Global water issues span every field in terms of scarcity, quality, groundwater, sanitation, culture, business, disease, natural disasters, and development. It is an essential resource that is being exploited at alarming rates, giving rise to the global water crises we face today. The United Nations Conference on the Environment and Development deems that March 22nd is International World Water Day,
as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. Join MEDLIFE in viewing a few clips from the documentary "A World Without Water" and discussing the connections between unequal access to clean water resources and human health and disease among impoverished communities. Summer Clinic information and organization updates will also be announced!
