Hi, my name is Kasandra Hunter and I will be one of the student coordinators for the Overnight Stay Program this semester. I am a senior in the University Honors Program majoring in Microbiology and minoring in French Studies. I've been active with Honors Ambassadors since the second semester of my freshman year and I'm excited to see the relaunch of this awesome program! Let's have a productive semester and set the bar high for the relaunch of the Honors Overnight Stay Program!

Hi! I’m Katy Rennenkampf, the other student coordinator! I am a senior in the University Honors Program, majoring in Math, Econ, and English. I have previously served as a student coordinator for Honors ambassadors, and can’t wait to work with you again with the Overnight Stay Program! It’s going to be an awesome and exciting semester for Honors recruitment!

We’re excited to relaunch the Honors College Overnight Stay Program this semester. The program will give prospective students the chance to spend the night at Maryland and experience life on campus more fully—this will be a powerful recruitment tool.

As part of your participation in this program, hosts will be asked to host 1-2 prospective freshmen, as space permits. Hosts will have to attend a mandatory training session on March 27th at 6:00 p.m. in the Anne Arundel Lounge.

On the night of the Overnight Stay Program, hosts will report to the Anne Arundel Basement by 6:30 p.m. on April 4th to begin welcoming student guests. Students will be arriving at 7pm, checking in, dropping off luggage, and participating in a program orientation. Hosts and their guests will participate in fun evening activities and spend the night together. Hosts will bring their students to the Stamp Student Union by 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5th, so visiting students can participate in the Spring Open House.

We hope that you will join us in this awesome and exciting program! If you have any questions please contact us at haovernightstay@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you—and if you are planning to participate, please submit our informational survey to indicate your interest and availability by noon, Monday, February 4th.

Thank you and welcome back to the spring semester!
