Fellowship for math and science professionals interested in becoming teachers - Lab2Class

Please allow me to share with you an exciting new fellowship opportunity - From the Laboratory to the Classroom (Lab2Class) in Washington, DC – a unique program aimed at recruiting individuals who demonstrate both science or mathematical talent and a strong commitment to the teaching profession and service in DC. Lab2Class is a partnership program being implemented by American University’s School of Education, Teaching and Health, Departments of Mathematics/Statistics and Environment Science, and The Carnegie Institution of Washington's Carnegie Academy of Science Education and is funded by the National Science Foundation and Toyota USA Foundation.

As part of the Lab2Class program, fellows receive a full scholarship to the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree program in Secondary Education: Science or Mathematics, are provided with a generous living stipend, and receive extensive student teaching experience. Fellows will teach in DC for at least 4 years and are provided mentoring, coaching, and other support services. Additional information about the fellowship, and how to apply, can be found here .
