Spring 2022
The Honors College is delighted to announce a new set of grant awards in the Honors College: the Daniel and Carly Rochkind Honors College Awards. These awards are to support and advance student studies and endeavors in one of three areas: individual research, study abroad, or unpaid internship experiences. Awards may range from $500 to up to $2,000 per individual depending on the scale and scope of the project or activity proposed. All Honors College students in good standing who are making good progress toward completing or have completed the Honors College citation are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 1, 11:59 pm. You can access the application here.
These awards are made possible by the generosity and vision of UMD Honors College alumni Daniel Rochkind ('98) and Carly Rochkind. It is their wish that these merit-based awards be made in consideration of advancing underrepresented groups in the Honors College. Decisions will include careful consideration of proposed projects related to the advancement of underrepresented groups and the concerns of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
More information on the Rochkind Awards is coming soon on the Honors College Awards webpage. Questions can be directed to Dr. Traci Dula, tdula@umd.edu.
