Applications are Open: Become a UNIV100 TA!

 The 2022 UNIV100 Teaching Assistant (TA) application is now LIVE! 

 We hope you will apply to join the newest cohort of TAs to lead, educate, mentor, and support our new Terps. These TAs co-facilitate a section of UNIV100, UMD’s one-credit seminar designed to help new students get the most out of their first semester, alongside a faculty or staff member (no prior experience as a TA or UNIV100 student required). 

 

UNIV100 TAs are considered student leaders and foundational members of the Office of Student Orientation and Transition. They are trained in leadership development, communication skills, helping skills, and educational pedagogy to help form meaningful relationships with incoming first-year students. Highlights: 

• Form meaningful connections with new Terps. 

• Learn skills to become a leader, mentor, and educator.

• Be a part of a diverse and close-knit cohort of TAs!

• Gain 3 scholarship in practice (DSSP) credits.
