Campus club: Prescription For Happiness

Are you interested in advocating and addressing the importance of mental health? Are you passionate about the topic of mental health and want to educate others in your school community? Consider joining Prescription for Happiness, a newly founded club that seeks to promote mental health worldwide and address its importance by combating social issues and discussing the future of medicine.

The Prescription for Happiness club itself looks at mental health from a medical and public health standpoint. However, the club is not limited to students that are interested in the medical field.

One aspect of the club is our podcast, which looks at mental health from a public health perspective, in which we focus on societal issues and the impact it has on the public’s mental health. This includes issues such as racism, sexual assault, and much more.

Another aspect of the club is promoting other mental health/medical organizations and charities through fundraisers and volunteering. Eventually, we also hope to volunteer at local inner city schools and educate children about the importance of mental health, while also helping people with their own.
