Registration is open for the eighth annual Public Health Research at Maryland conference!

Free and open to all! Researchers from all disciplines at both the University of Maryland, Baltimore and University of Maryland, College Park are invited to share their research for the poster session. Student-presented research will be judged and prizes awarded.

Anyone can attend one or more of the sessions focused on timely issues related to strengthening public health, combatting health misinformation, and learning from the challenges of 2020 to improve health and promote equity.

The opening session features a conversation between University System of Maryland leaders, including UMCP President Darryll Pines, UMB President Bruce Jarrell, School of Medicine Dean Al Reece, Chancellor Jay Perman and others, moderated by School of Public Health Dean Boris Lushniak and Dr. Jay Magaziner (SOM EPH) and focused on their vision for leadership in the context of COVID-19, structural racism, economic challenges and climate change.

We’re honored to have noted epidemiologist Dr. David Michaels, as this year’s keynote speaker. His address is titled, “Science and Policy to Support Healthy People 2030: The Imperative to Rebuild and Reimagine Our Public Health Infrastructure.”

We've greatly benefited from the participation of Baltimore colleagues in the past and would love to see more participation this year from UMB given the virtual format!
