The Stamp Gallery goes dark in Media Lux, an exhibition featuring work by artists in the second year of MFA candidacy in the Department of Art at the University of Maryland, College Park. Media Lux includes artworks set in a dim environment by Clay Dunklin, Mason Hurley, Monroe Isenberg, Irene Pantelis, and Gina Takaoka. The five artists have collectively curated the exhibition, selecting among their own recent work and producing new artworks in dialogue with the Stamp Gallery’s distinctive space. The exhibition will be of interest to faculty and students who study the interaction of experience, light, space, and media. A performance will take place at the opening reception on April 4.
Opening Reception & Performance: Wednesday, April 4, 2018, 6:00–8:00pm
Exhibition: April 4–May 19, 2018
Free and open to the public
Our Gallery doors are open Monday–Thursday 10 am to 8 pm, Friday 10 am to 6 pm, and Saturday 11 am to 5 pm. Please feel free to contact the Gallery via stampgallery@umd.edu, or our coordinator Raino Isto at risto@umd.edu, if you have any questions or would like to schedule a class visit.
