UMD's Global Sustainability Initiative, the Office of Sustainability, and other co-sponsors invite you and your students to watch The Age of Consequences,
a movie explaining how climate change is accelerating national security
concerns and geopolitical instability. As a GSI participant, we'd love
for you to share this announcement with any faculty, staff, or students
in your college or across campus who may be interested in attending.
We are honored to have the following panelists for a discussion after the movie:
· Brig. Gen. Dr. Gerald Galloway, US Army (ret.), Center for Climate and Security
· Dr. Sandra Knight, UMD Center for Disaster Resilience
· Dr. Steven Fetter, UMD School of Public Policy
· Mr. James Stillwell, UMD Global Sustainability Initiative (moderator)
This
is a unique event bringing together several of UMD's environmental and
national security programs. The event is open to the public.
Please join us on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:30 pm in Room 1224 of the Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center. The movie screening will run from 2:00 to 3:30 and the panel will run for about 60 minutes thereafter.
