Scholarships for CRITICAL LANGUAGE STUDY

Are you already studying a CRITICAL LANGUAGE – one that is important to U.S. national interests – such as Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Korean, Persian, or Japanese?

Are you interested in starting to study a new critical language, such as Indonesian, Turkish, Hindi, Bangla/Bengali, Urdu, or one of many, many others?

Learn about the BOREN SCHOLARSHIP and the CRITICAL LANGUAGE SCHOLARSHIP, two great U.S. Government-sponsored programs that fund the study of critical languages all over the world!

BOREN SCHOLARSHIP BASICS:
-- Provides up to $20,000 for TWO semesters of critical language study abroad (can be Fall and Spring, or Summer and Fall semesters)
-- You can study in any world region EXCEPT Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada
-- Special opportunities to study African languages, including in French- and Portuguese-speaking nations
-- IDEAL FOR STUDENTS STRONGLY MOTIVATED TO PURSUE U.S. GOVERNMENT SERVICE – Boren Scholarships carry a ONE YEAR federal government service requirement
-- Eligibility: You must be a U.S. Citizen, and enrolled as an undergraduate, at the time of application this Winter 2016

CRITICAL LANGUAGE SCHOLARSHIP BASICS:
-- Provides intensive SUMMER language study institutes abroad in the following languages:
*ARABIC - *CHINESE - KOREAN - *JAPANESE - *RUSSIAN - TURKISH - INDONESIAN - HINDI - BANGLA/BENGALI- PERSIAN  - PUNJABI - URDU – AZERBAIJANI
-- Prerequisites apply for (*) languages above
-- All expenses paid
-- No Government service obligation
-- Eligibility: You must be a U.S. Citizen, and enrolled as an undergraduate, at the time of application this Fall 2015
