BOREN SCHOLARSHIP BASICS:

Provides up to $20,000 for TWO semesters of critical language study
abroad (can be Fall and Spring, or Summer and Fall semesters)
-- You can study in any world region EXCEPT
Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada
-- Special opportunities to study African languages, including in French- and Portuguese-speaking nations
-- IDEAL FOR STUDENTS STRONGLY MOTIVATED TO PURSUE U.S. GOVERNMENT SERVICE – Boren
Scholarships carry a ONE YEAR federal government service requirement
-- Eligibility: You must be a U.S. Citizen, and enrolled as an undergraduate, at the time of application this Winter 2016
