Able: different (dis)abilities, fierce & proud.
Able will
share the views and creative works of people with disabilities, chronic
illness, and impairments at the University of Maryland, along with some
works from their allies. We hope to feature work from faculty, staff,
undergraduate and graduate students. We will aim to explore the
intersection of ability with other issues such as race and ethnicity,
gender, and sexuality as we examine how our varied bodies and abilities
are part of our communities. By bringing together diverse voices of
disability at UMD, we hope to educate and to show solidarity.
