GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The candidate will function as a technology services desk assistant at the College of Education. The primary duties include checking out equipment to patrons, answering phones, and data entry.
OVERVIEW
The Educational Technology Services (ETS) department provides technology assistance to the members of the College of Education at the University of Maryland so that it may enhance the teaching and research goals as part of the college strategic plan. The assistant will help facilitate this goal by being responsible for the following duties:
• Taking reservations for equipment and entering the information into a database.
• Distributing equipment and reserved reading packets available to patrons who visit the desk.
• Supporting the functionality of the technology classrooms, computer labs, and laptop carts.

The assistant will also help with
the general office organization and administrative duties which includes
inventory control and writing documentation. The Technology Services Desk
Assistant will report to the Graduate Assistant for instructional technology.

Qualifications
Excellent communication skills,
attention to detail, and dependability are required. Experience with video and
computer equipment preferred. Knowledge productivity software such as Microsoft
Office is desired.
Services are required for the entire
period of your appointment, with the exception of University Holidays
