Info Session with Global Health (Individual Studies) UMD Honors Alumnus Aaron Shapiro

Topics include: How to win fellowships, acquire useful experience, and pursue meaningful career in health care!  Aaron's focus is providing quality healthcare to people struggling with addiction, sex workers, people in and out of incarceration, and transgender people. 

Aaron Shapiro graduated from UMD, College Park in 2011 with a major in Global Health and a minor in International Development and Conflict Management. He was one of the original Global Health Corps Fellows--in Rwanda. Aaron is currently getting his MD at Brown University and MPH at Johns Hopkins. 

He is a National Health Service Corps Scholar going into primary care. His focus is providing quality healthcare to people struggling with addiction, sex workers, people in and out of incarceration, and transgender people. 

Aaron is also the founder of Citizen Physicians, a non-partisan, non-issue-based start up organization dedicated to training the next generation of health care practitioners in effective civic engagement.
