Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity (also known as PIKE) Forming UM Chapter

Pi Kappa Alpha was founded at the University of Virginia in 1868. Since then, the Fraternity has grown to over 225 chapters and colonies and over 275,000 lifetime initiates. We maintain a commitment to excellence in leadership, academics and service to the community. With this commitment, Pi Kappa Alpha is recognized as one of the preeminent fraternities in North America.

Our colonization program focuses on recruiting the highest caliber men on campus. We seek individuals who value academics as their top priority, who play an active role on campus and in the community, who are competitive and highly motivated, and who treat themselves and others with integrity and respect. We use four words to summarize these men we seek to recruit Scholars, Leaders, Athletes and Gentlemen. Our Fraternity prides itself on fostering chapters composed of these men that are committed to excellence as individuals and as a Fraternity.

We are excited about working with the University of Maryland to become an integral part of campus life and the surrounding community. If you or someone you know fits these qualities, and is interested in our project, please do not hesitate to reach out to Devon Teixeira at dteixeira@pikes.org or Jeff Farris at jfarris@pikes.org.
