ORISE FELLOWSHIP AT FDA OFFICE OF WOMEN’S HEALTH



The FDA Office of Women’s Health (OWH),  Scientific Engagement and Medical Initiatives is accepting applications for a one-year ORISE fellowship beginning April 2016.

FDA OWH Mission:

n Protect and advance the health of women through policy, science, and outreach
n Advocate for inclusion of women in clinical trials and analysis of sex/gender effects
n Increase scientific knowledge through advanced professional training/education in
   subpopulation analysis

Duties:

OWH does the following activities:
n Monitors progress of women's health initiatives
n Promotes an integrative and interactive approach across all the organizational components of the FDA
n Forms partnerships with government and non-government entities to support OWH Research & Development Science Program
n Addresses gaps in current scientific knowledge regarding the biology of sex/gender differences
n Encourages and supports new directions in research
n Sets new standards of excellence in women's health


Qualifications:

MS/MPH degree in biological sciences with strong data analysis and writing skills.
