"Living Single Project: Dating and Mating in a Black Woman's World" -- UMD Research Study

My name is Shyneice Porter and I am a student researcher working with Dr. Smith Bynum at the University of Maryland, College Park. We are conducting a study to understand black women’s perceptions about the availability of black men to date and marry. We have put together a survey that asks unmarried black women a series of questions about their dating options and perspectives of “good” black men. We understand that the definition of a “good black man” varies with each person and we are interested in your unique perspective.
If you are an unmarried African American/Black woman who is 18 years old or older and currently enrolled in college or a college graduate, you are eligible to participate!
If you would like to take the survey, please follow this link: http://go.umd.edu/livingsingle_sc
If you would like to read over the Frequently Asked Questions, please follow this link: http://go.umd.edu/livingsinglefacebook
If you would like to speak with me to learn more about the study, please do not hesitate to contact me at bfrg@umd.edu and we can arrange a time to speak.
Thank you for your time and interest.
Sincerely,
Shyneice Porter
