2015-2016 Bridges Job Description Position: Public Service Fellowship Updated: March 11, 2015

Bridges Overview
Bridges helps motivated Baltimore City youth find success in school and in life through a 9-year program that students enter in elementary school and participate in through the end of high school. We currently work with 196 youth ages 9-18 via an integrated system of high quality out-of-school time programs, summer jobs, tutoring, social support, and school guidance.

Founded in 1993 as an outreach program of St. Paul’s School, Bridges recently opened a site at Gilman School (est. 2014). It has a vision of building multiple sites in Baltimore and working with 1000+ Baltimore City students and 700+ independent school volunteers per year. Position Summary
We are seeking two highly motivated recent college graduates to join our small, hard-working, and innovative team of professionals. Each will spend 1 to 2 years leading programs and helping to change the lives of the motivated young people we serve. These “Public Service Fellows” (PSF) will join our site at St. Paul's School (Brooklandville, MD) starting in June of 2015. Each will be assigned to a program division and work under the guidance of a Program Director.

Elementary and Middle Grades PSF: During the school year, the Elementary and Middle Grades PSF will direct our after school program for fourth and fifth graders and our weekend enrichment programs for sixth through eighth graders. He or she will spend summers managing special events, head counselors, and volunteers for our elementary and middle grades Summer Institute. This person will also help market our work via Facebook, program updates, and our annual Kickball Classic fundraiser.

High School PSF: The High School PSF will spend the school year managing and providing one-on-one support to a grade of Bridges high school students, directing weekend enrichment programs for ninth through twelfth grade students, and helping to manage a tutoring partnership with Loyola University. He or she will spend summers working in the Bridges Summer Jobs Program, helping with Monday enrichment workshops and providing one-on-one professional development to students. This person will also help market our work via Facebook, program updates, and our annual Kickball Classic fundraiser.
