SRs & Recent Grads: Job Opportunity for Clinical Research Assistant (Falls Church, VA)

  We are looking for a highly motivated college graduate to serve as a Clinical Research Assistant for several clinical research studies conducted locally at Seven Corners Medical Research Center. This position requires an individual who is highly responsible and has excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include recruitment of study participants, managing the clinical research schedule, assisting with clinical research visits, data collection/ entry, and other administrative and clinical responsibilities.
 
       The clinical research assistant (CRA) will be responsible for explaining research study opportunities to those interested in learning more or participating, developing recruitment strategies, and managing an electronic database for documenting recruitment progress and outcomes. The CRA is also responsible for managing the clinical research schedule, calling study participants to schedule their visits, and assisting with clinical research visits. During clinical research visits, the CRA will take vital signs, ask study-related questions, draw blood, perform additional procedures (EKG, spirometry) as needed, and perform necessary documentation.
 
Job requirements include the following: 
+ Completed B.S. in Biology or other related Pre-Health major (Public Health, Chemistry, etc) and interested in pursuing a career in health/medical professions.
+ Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills (previous clinical experience preferred).
+ Strong administrative/management skills
+ Creativity and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

+ Previous clinical research experience preferred
+ Proficiency in speaking Spanish a plus, but not required
