The UMD National Scholarships Office will hold a series of early ZOOM information sessions to help you plan effectively for your NSF applications. **Current UMD undergraduates at all levels, recent UMD alumni, and UMD grad students who will be in their 2nd year in Fall 2022 (and who did not apply for NSF in fall 2021) are welcome to attend.**
ZOOM NSF Prep Session #1 - Monday, March 14, 4 pm - Introduction: This session will introduce you to the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship program: what it is, who it's for, application components, how it's judged, and how you can prepare to apply effectively - whether you're applying this fall or in a few years.

ZOOM NSF Prep Session #2 - Wednesday, March 16, 4 pm - Writing the Essays: This session will discuss the two required essays - an intellectual/personal statement, and a mini research proposal. We'll cover what information needs to be in the essays, as well as strategies for writing them in a timely and effective way.
