Join us this summer as a volunteer for the 2020 IRC Virtual Summer Academy! This is a five-week contemporary learning experience for recently arriving humanitarian immigrant students. The academy is specifically designed to address identified learning gaps in English and math, while incorporating extracurricular subjects and activities to broaden student’s horizons. Up to 50 students ages 8–21 will participate in summer enrichment Zoom sessions designed to support their academic success and social emotional well-being. Previous experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring youth in some capacity is preferred, but not a requirement.
