Diamondback is Hiring Reporters

The Diamondback, the university’s independent student newspaper, is hiring reporters! This position is an excellent opportunity to gain newsroom experience, publish clips and get involved with the publication.

Staff writers are responsible for covering a campus, city or state beat, writing at least two stories per week, working with editors to pitch and edit stories and attending a weekly staff meeting. Reporters are paid a biweekly stipend.

Diamondback reporters have gone on to earn internships and jobs The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, Politico, Tampa Bay Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, the Associated Press, Newsday, Reuters, USA TODAY and more. You'll have the opportunity to produce potentially award-winning coverage while developing your beat, including breaking news, features, enterprise stories, special projects and multimedia content.
