Volunteers
with Terps for Change have been working hard this semester: giving back
to the community, meeting other UMD students, and reflecting on their
service. Want to get involved in this community service organization in a
leadership role? Apply now for one of our coordinator positions for
Spring 2020!
Coordinators
are the fearless leaders of each team of volunteers. They collaborate
in pairs to ensure the smooth connection between UMD student volunteers
and our community partners, as well as facilitate engaging dialogues to
reflect and learn about social issues faced at our service sites. On
Monday evenings, this community of student leaders meets with
the Terps for Change Staff and engages in their own dialogue. The time
commitment for this position is about 8-10 hours a week, depending on
the responsibilities of the week and how you choose to work with your
team of three to four other coordinators to facilitate the weekly
dialogues of volunteers. Coordinators do not have to have been a
volunteer with us previously.
There
will be an information session next Wednesday, November 6th from
5-5:30pm in the Pyon Su Room in STAMP. The application can be found https://terplink.umd. edu/organization/lcsl- terpsforchange, and the application deadline is November 8th! Email terpsforchange@umd.edu with any questions.
