Hello! I’m a faculty member in the University of Maryland Honors College and the History Department and I’m writing to urge you to consider putting in an application to join my Spring Break 2020 Education Abroad course HONR 249B: LONDON AND THE BRITISH EMPIRE.
This 3-credit course counts as an honors seminar on your transcript.
It runs over the whole of spring break (March 13-22) and earning three credits in just 9 days is a pretty extraordinary opportunity, I hope you’ll agree.
The course explores London from an historical perspective though students in any major can apply and there are no prerequisites. I’ve put up a lot more information about the course here: https://globalmaryland. umd.edu/offices/education- abroad/program/10167
I’d love to sit down with you in my KEY 2136 office sometime next month or chat with you over the phone if that’s not possible about why you should take this course and to get you more information. Applications are only being accepted through October 1.
If you’d like to meet with me to discuss a possible application, drop me a line by emailing rjbell@umd.edu.
Cheers
Prof. Rick Bell
