AIGAUMD 'Pajamas & Portfolios' 12/6 & Clothing Drive

AIGAUMD, the student chapter of the national organization AIGA — American Institute of Graphic Arts is hosting a holiday clothing drive with all collections going to the Rio Grande Valley Humanitarian Respite Center (https://www.catholiccharitiesrgv.org/HumanitarianRespiteCenter.shtml), an organization that provides support and aid to families being separated at the southern border. As students begin to pack up for winter break and go through their closets, we a box outside of ASY 2322 to collect all gently used clothing donations.

We also are hosting a final event, "Pajamas and Portfolios,” next Thursday, December 6th at 7pm. It will be a relaxed potluck evening of designing and reviewing students’ portfolios, as well as going over potential website hosts and other ways to present those portfolios. We hope that this will be a good basis for students to utilize over the break as they build up portfolios for job and internship applications in the spring.
