Job Description:
The Cancer Prevention and Control Program at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center of
Georgetown University has an opening for a research assistant to work on an NCI-funded smoking
cessation intervention trial among individuals undergoing lung cancer screening. Previous experience
conducting tobacco-related research or interventions is desirable but not required. The Project Assistant will be trained to conduct a telephone-based smoking cessation intervention. Additional responsibilities include participant assessments, data management and analysis, in-depth literature reviews, and preparation of manuscripts and grants. Fluent Spanish is desired but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates in psychology or public health who are interested in attending graduate school in the social sciences or medical school. Start date is July 1, 2017.
