The W.E.B Du Bois National Honor Society is hosting a school supplies drive from November 6th to December 6th, 2016 for the Prince George’s County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). CASA trains and supervises volunteers from the community who advocate for the best interest of foster children, recognizing and respecting each child’s individual needs. By providing a voice to children in the foster care system, it is their goal to promote the timely placement of the children we serve into safe, permanent homes and to ensure the rights of all children in the foster care system. The W.E.B Du Bois National Honor Society is committed and dedicated to leadership and scholarship in the African American community. We strive to provide resources that promote educational opportunities to those in need.
Please support foster children’s educational needs by donation school supplies and books for grades 3rd-12th. A donation box will be located in the Honors College in Anne Arundel Hall and Nyumburu Cultural Center.
