1 year fellowship position at the FDA Office of Women’s Health



ORISE FELLOWSHIP AT FDA OFFICE OF WOMEN’S HEALTH


The FDA Office of Women’s Health (OWH), Research and Development Team is accepting applications for a one-year ORISE fellowship beginning April 2016.

FDA OWH Mission:

n Protect and advance the health of women through policy, science, and outreach
n Advocate for inclusion of women in clinical trials and analysis of sex/gender effects
n Increase scientific knowledge through advanced professional training/education in
   subpopulation analysis

Duties:

OWH does the following activities:
n Monitors progress of women's health initiatives
n Promotes an integrative and interactive approach across all the organizational components of the FDA
n Forms partnerships with government and non-government entities to support OWH Research & Development Science Program
n Addresses gaps in current scientific knowledge regarding the biology of sex/gender differences
n Encourages and supports new directions in research
n Sets new standards of excellence in women's health


Qualifications:

BS or MS/MPH degree in biological sciences with strong data analysis and writing skills.
