Register for HESI 418J: Now What? Composing
a Life of Meaning and Purpose
This Spring 2016 course is designed for
juniors and seniors who have actively participated in
community service-learning, leadership, and civic engagement.
Class members will have the opportunity to reflect deeply on
their experiences, to study and practice modes of civic
action, and to develop their future plans as civically engaged
citizens, scholars, and leaders. The course will meet
Tuesdays, 2:00-4:45pm. To join this active learning community,
send a paragraph explaining why you wish to take this course
and a one-page statement or resume that indicates your
experience and coursework in leadership, service-learning, and
civic engagement to the instructor, Dr. Barbara Jacoby,
bjacoby@umd.edu.
