Geospatial Information Science Winter Term Courses

The UMD Center for GIS has just opened-up a series of three for-credit winter skill-set courses. The courses will run in short-form style in January and will focus on advanced topics and technologies (see attached):

• GEOG788F: Big data analytics with Python (1 credit; register here) [January 4 to 8, 2016, 1 - 4 p.m.]
• GEOG788C: GIS and Hadoop (1 credit; register here) [January 4 to 8, 2016, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.]
• GEOG788E: Web GIS (2 credits, register here) [January 11 to 21, 2016, 1 - 4 p.m.]

The courses are hands-on and will give students a chance to play around with our new high-performance computing cluster.
