Speak Spanish? Like working with kids? Apply for Partners in Print!


Like working with kids? Want to serve your community, meet other UMD students AND gain leadership skills?

Partners in Print is a family literacy program that works with local Elementary Schools. We present workshops to parents and children (Kindergarten – 2nd Grade) on techniques and concepts parents can use to engage their children in reading at home. Workshops are presented on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30PM – 8:30PM. No experience is required! Workshops are conducted in both English and Spanish. **SPANISH SPEAKERS ARE HIGHLY DESIRED**

We have various positions available:
·         Volunteer
·         Federal Work Study ($10/hour)
·         Academic Credit (1 or 3 credits)
·         Internship

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
FINAL APPLICATION DEADLINE: JANUARY 27, 2016 AT 5PM
-pRIORITY INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD IN DECEMBER FOR STUDENTS WHO APPLY EARLY!

Info Sessions are 30 minutes at 4:30pm, 5:00pm, and 5:30pm on the dates above.
