Curious about what happens in a counseling session? Thinking about coaching or counseling as a career? Looking for a confidential space to talk?

Volunteer for a counseling experience with a graduate student in the Department of Psychology (PSYC) or the Department of Counseling, Higher Education, and Special Education (CHSE)!

The experience will involve meeting with a graduate counselor-in-training in a 45 minute session to discuss any concerns you feel comfortable talking about. In the past, these counseling sessions have not only provided helpful experience for the counselor trainees, but also for the students who volunteer as clients. If you've never been in a counseling experience before, this is a good way to learn about what it involves in a confidential environment. You are free to discuss whatever social, family, relationship, academic, or career concerns you may have.
