UMD Sustainability Jam! 11/23


Have you ever seen a sustainability issue on campus that you want to fix? Have you thought of a great sustainability project, but had absolutely no clue how to make it happen? Are you interested in having access to $350,000 to make your sustainability dreams come true?

If you answered "YES" to any of the questions above, then the UMD Sustainability Jam is the event for you! Find out more and register here!

The UMD Sustainability Jam! is brought to you by the Student Government Association's Student Sustainability Committee, the Center for Social Value Creation and the Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Students and staff who are interested in sustainability are coming together in order to create real, impactful and lasting change on our campus by developing sustainability fund projects!

What will YOU gain from attending this event?
  1. Atraining from the Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship that will teach you to look at sustainable solutions to campus issues in a creative and innovative way!
  2. A broader understanding of a campus sustainability issue that is of interest to you, including: energy use, waste management, water use, and stormwater management!
  3. A strong relationship with a staff member who works on campus in on the sustainability issue that you're interested in!
  4. Continued guidance and mentorship on developing your own Sustainability Fund project that will help reduce our campus' environmental footprint!
