Stress Busters Workshop - Oct. 26; Nov. 2, 9, 16

Stress is the frienemy that we can’t live without. It spurs us into action and then turns on us when things get tough. Is begs the question: how much stress is optimal and how can we best manage it?
Stress Busters is a 4-week workshop created to help students navigate the stresses and challenges of college life. Through the workshop you will analyze the physical, mental and emotional impact of stress and thoughtfully consider ways to keep things simple.

Dates and Times for the workshop are:
  • Friday, Oct. 26 from 12:30-2:00 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 2 from 12:30-2:00 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 9 from 12:30-2:00 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 16 from 12:30-2:00 p.m.

Because community is the foundation for this series, preference will be given to students who can attend each session. There will be a closed Facebook group where students can seek support, find resources, or post on the topic.

The series will be an active reflection on how to manage stress. Students will be asked to complete worksheets, keep a journal and record their progress. There will be weekly activities and opportunities to practice meditation, yoga, and other health promoting behaviors.

Space is limited and preference will be given to students who can attend each session.

Additional workshops at different times may be created so please complete the form even if the times conflict with your schedule. This will help me to gauge interest in the program.
