Overview 
The Fulbright Scholar Program, sponsored by the United States Department of State, has announced its annual awards competition for faculty/staff to teach, conduct research, and participate in other programs abroad in 2019-2020 AY. Over the past decade, UMD faculty and professional staff across the university have won nearly 80 Fulbright awards. Applications for the Traditional Fulbright Scholar Program are due August 1, 2018.

UMD faculty and professional staff interested in applying for Fulbright Programs for scholars, academic administrators, or professionals for 2019-2020 are invited to attend an on-campus workshop co-sponsored by Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of International Affairs. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, in the Global Crossroads atrium at H.J. Patterson Hall (room 1125). Ms. Jordanna Enrich, Director, Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program at Institute of International Education (which administers Fulbright Scholar Programs for the US Dept of State), will lead this workshop.
