INTERPROFESSIONAL GLOBAL HEALTH COMPETENCIES RELEASED: The publication, "Identifying Interprofessional Global Health Competencies for 21st-Century Health Professional," brings together vast sets of competencies cutting across disciplines toward an agreed upon set of knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for global citizens and leaders. Authored by members of the CUGH Global Health Competency Subcommittee, including CFHI Executive Director, Dr. Jessica Evert. PDF available online at: https://www.cfhi.org/publications

GLOBAL HEALTH INTERNSHIPS IN GHANA AND THE PHILIPPINES: Child Family Health International (CFHI) is now accepting applications for global health programs in Ghana and the Philippines. Choose from two new programs in Ghana-- "Child Health & Social Determinants" and "Hospital Medicine in Coastal Ghana"-- and a new "Remote Island Medicine" program in the Philippines. Witness the challenges of providing health care in low-resource settings and improve your understanding of broader social determinants of health. Open to undergraduate and graduate students. Learn more at: https://www.cfhi.org/all-programs

FALL GLOBAL HEALTH SCHOLARSHIPS: Child Family Health International's scholarship deadline for fall Global Health Immersion Programs is coming up on July 15th. These programs place you in the trenches of global health alongside health care workers, patients, and community leaders. They allow you to understand complex global health challenges through the eyes of community members and get to the core of on-the-ground realities. Scholarship applications for fall CFHI programs are due July 15th by 11:59 pm PST. Apply at https://www.cfhi.org/scholarships

2-WEEK GLOBAL HEALTH INTERNSHIPS THIS WINTER: Child Family Health International (CFHI) is now accepting applications for 2-week Global Health Intensive Programs this December and January. Made possible by CFHI's longer programs and year-round in-country presence, these programs provide a compressed experience for students with limited time to go abroad. Offered in Mexico, Argentina, India, and Uganda. Applications accepted on a rolling basis. Learn more at: https://www.cfhi.org/2-week-intensive-programs.
