Did you know that UMCP offers majors, minors, and scholarships for students of Classics?

In addition to courses in English that fulfill Gen Ed requirements, we offer a full sequence of language courses in Latin and Greek; minors in Classical Mythology, Archaeology, Latin, and Greek (ancient or modern); and major tracks in Latin, Latin and Greek, or Classical Humanities.  We have generous scholarships (with preference given to majors and minors) for study abroad in Italy and Greece, but even if you're not a major, you may qualify for one of our Latin scholarships if you continue your study of the language at the 200 level or above!  See the attached flyers and contact the department chair, Prof. Lillian Doherty (LDoherty@umd.edu), for more information.
