Are you interested in pursuing a career in health: medicine, dentistry, nursing, etc.? Do you want to learn about health in the context of social justice?

Come join UMD Alternative Breaks and the Charles R Drew Pre-medical/Pre-health Society for an interactive discussion on one of the most important topics in health care today. As a part of the Activation April series, The Intersectionality of Society and Health will take place on Tuesday, APRIL 14 from 6-8pm in the PG Room in STAMP.
This event will feature speakers Dr. Craig Fryer, Associate Director for the Maryland Center for Health Equity and Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health and Dr. Dianna Abney, MD, a Pediatrician and Health Officer for Charles County Department of Health.  They will share their experiences, research, and explore case studies in the realm of health disparities and health equity. This event is a must-attend for those interested in going into the field of medicine and it is free and open to all!
