Dorothy Gilliam, the first African-American female reporter at The Washington Post - Wednesday


The UMD student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Maryland Association of Black Journalists present a night with Dorothy Gilliam, the first African-American female reporter at The Washington Post. She covered the civil rights movement, including the Little Rock Nine and integration of Ole Miss, and wrote a column for 19 years covering politics, race and education in D.C.
