Summer course offering co-taught by Israeli and Palestinian- ISRL349X Conflict Resolution: The Israeli/Palestinian Experiment

This groundbreaking interactive course offers an in-depth understanding of this conflict using simulations that explore competing narratives and the search for common ground. Topics include settlements, refugees, Jerusalem, water rights, security concerns, and border disputes.

Edy Kaufman is a Senior Fellow and Former Director of the Center of International Development and Conflict Management and is the former Director of the Harry S. Truman Institute for the Advancement of Peace at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. 

Manuel Hassassian is the former Executive Vice President of Bethlehem University and currently serves as the diplomatic representative to the U.K for the Palestinian Authority. 

The course will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-9:20 pm in Tydings Hall, Rm. 1101. For any questions please email kaufmane@umd.edu.
