Maurice Shohet: My Experience, Politics, and the Fight to Protect Iraqi Jewish Archives

Sunday 7 pm, Maryland Hillel Library (upstairs) Maurice Shohet is an Iraqi Jew who escaped to Israel during the Ba’athist regime, a time of rising anti-Semitic violence. He is the president of the World Organization of Jews from Iraq, American Friends of Babylonian Jewry Heritage Center in Israel, and is an analyst for the Middle East Media Research Institute. 
He will be speaking about his experience living in Iraq, his escape to Israel, and about the Mizrachi experience
