Student Entertainment Events Presents: Homecoming Comedy Show Featuring Jim Gaffigan

Student Entertainment Events is excited to have Jim Gaffigan as the headliner for The University of Maryland’s 2013 Homecoming Comedy Show. The show will begin at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 24 in Cole Fieldhouse. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for those with a valid UMCP ID are priced at $15 for floor seats and $9 for bowl seats; general admission tickets are $35 for floor and $25 for the bowl. Tickets are currently on sale at www.umdtickets.com.

Jim Gaffigan is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and author. He has released numerous comedy albums and stand-up specials, including the 2012 released “Mr. Universe.” The 75-minute special, which was filmed at a sold out show at The Warner Theater in Washington D.C., is currently available to stream at www.jimgaffigan.com. Gaffigan’s most recent project, the book Dad is Fat, humorously chronicles his life and experiences with his five young children.

In addition to writing and performing on his current White Bread Tour, Gaffigan is in the developing stages of an all-new sitcom series. Leading broadcast network CBS ordered a pilot of the show to be written by Gaffigan and “Rescue Me” co-creator, Peter Tolan. The show is slated to premiere for the 2014-2015 season.
