Free Suicide Prevention Training for Student Groups and UMD Organizations

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among college students in the United States. The University of Maryland Health Center is committed to preventing suicide and offers a FREE suicide prevention training for student groups and other UMD-affiliated organizations. The prevention training teaches attendees how to: (1) recognize individuals who are at potential suicide risk; (2) intervene; and (3) refer individuals to professional counseling.

If you would like to learn more about hosting a suicide prevention training for your student group or UMD organization, please complete the training request form at: http://www.health.umd.edu/suicidepreventiontraining or call 301-314-8106 and ask to speak with the Suicide Prevention Coordinator.
