Crossroads Eurasia offers internships for American students
in “off-the-beaten-path” Russian cities. Ideal for either students of Russian
or native speakers, participants can teach, work as camp counselors,
translators, or PR and marketing employees for regional Russian businesses and
organizations. The Crossroads program provides in-country support, room and
board, and a cultural program, from a price averaging only $130/week. This is
an unusual and valuable experience to complement traditional study
abroad--Crossroads alumni have gone on to receive Boren scholarships, as well
as internships in institutions including US Embassy Moscow and the Russian
Center for Policy Studies in St. Petersburg.
If you are interested in gaining professional experience in
Russia and discovering the country beyond Moscow and St. Petersburg, come find
out more about the program! Take a look at the website (http://crossroadseurasia.com), and please
contact the UMCP campus representative:
Abby Cember (acember@umd.edu)
Time and place of the upcoming
info session is TBA, as we want to include as many interested participants as
possible.
