Doctors Without Borders is coming to UMD and we are looking to fill an Executive Committee!

Doctors Without Borders is coming to UMD and we are looking to fill an Executive Committee! Our names are Sophia Mense and Daniel Zhang and we are the Co-Presidents of UMD’s new Doctors Without Borders student chapter! We have gotten the OK from Doctors Without Borders USA to become an official student chapter and we are now waiting on our SGA application to be reviewed.
As a student chapter, we hope to teach the UMD community what working in humanitarianism is all about through advocacy and awareness events while applying DWB’s values to support our own community. Our chapter will be heavily oriented around community service — we want to make it easy for students to give back. If this mission sounds exciting to you, please apply to our Executive Committee! We are looking for individuals who are excited by the idea of building a club from the ground up. Also, this is not strictly a Pre-Health club!!! We are seeking to fill our board with students from a multitude of different fields!

*COVID-19 Statement*
We recognize the uncertainties surrounding the Fall 2020 semester, however we are still determined to make the most out of this club in the Fall! The importance of unity and generosity are evident nowadays, perhaps more than ever before. Part of the reason why we are looking to fill our Executive Committee now is to get more minds thinking about ways to help our community.

If you are interested, please take a look at the attached flyer fill out this written application: https://forms.gle/fj9VVWJsLjuA5WHx7

Applications are due by July 1, 2020.

Please feel free to contact umd@msfchapter.org with any questions.
