Advancement of Women in Science (SAWS) hosts talk with Dr. Agnes Sierocka - 3/14

Advancement of Women in Science (SAWS) has a seminar series that will be taking place in the Art and Sociology Building ( Parren J. Mitchell Art-Sociology Building, 3834 Campus Dr, College Park, MD 20742 ) in Room 2309 on March 14, 2018 at 7:00pm. 

The speaker is Dr. Agnes Sierocka, a neonatologist in Bethesda, Maryland who is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She received her medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine and has been in practice between 11-20 years. She is one of 7 doctors at Shady Grove Medical Center and one of 3 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center who specialize in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. She also speaks multiple languages, including Polish. 

The discussions will be about her path to success and her setbacks. This is not just a talk about what she does for her job, but also about how she followed the path less traveled.
