openClassical

openClassical is a website that strives to promote the listening and understanding of classical music. Here is the link to the site: www.openclassical.com. It is easy to use, especially for those who are not very familiar with classical music. The website has been built almost entirely by UMD students, a few of them current and/or former honors students, and was founded and directed by David Henry, a doctoral music student and former financial software developer.  The past few months have been spent developing, testing, and releasing a playlist feature that seeks to help students with their final exams. The playlists encompass some of the best classical music out there, and the topics of the playlists range from study music to excitement. We would like to primarily like to raise awareness of the Study playlist, but we would also appreciate some general feedback on the website.
